GOLA (advance and re-treat) is a film for Saskia Lenaerts’ debut at London Fashion Week.
Also exhibited at Moda Lisboa and Tokyo Fashion Week. Winner of Fashion Film Festival Milano's 2023 BEST MUSIC category, nominated for BEST GREEN FASHION FILM and BEST NEW DESIGNER/BRAND. FASHION FILM DEL AÑO nominee at the Latin American Fashion Awards. Selected for ASVOFF 2022 and part of Moda Hoy! – the Fashion Institute of Technology’s Exhibition.

Through therapeutic design, craft and manufacturing processes Saskia mutates, disguises and repurposes European military garments. Her designs ask us to look beyond and imagine the possibilities that arise from cross-cultural lifestyles. GOLA (advance and re-treat) was shot in Brazil and sheds new perspectives on trans-nationalism by celebrating the positive outcomes which develop from negative ancestral displacements.
